Welcome to Health Psychology, leading the field in Mind/Body Healthcare since 1982. Over the years it has been our mission to provide innovative techniques which offer alternatives and/or complimentary approaches to traditional medicine. We have pioneered such things as Biofeedback and Neurofeedback with a combined experience of over 45 years; more than any other clinic in this area of the country. A husband and wife team work together to provide these services along with sensitive individual and family psychotherapy.

The A.D.D. Institute was formed within the offices of Health Psychology in 1998 to highlight non-drug approaches to the treatment of Attention Deficit Disorder and other brain-related problems. The latter includes difficulties such as traumatic brain injury, seizures, depression and anxiety disorder. The principal treatment approach involves the use of EEG Biofeedback (Neurofeedback) to retrain brain activity and to normalize its functioning. Dr. Richard Williams is widely recognized on a local and national level as a pioneer in this area, having worked with EEG Biofeedback since 1975.

Our Kalamazoo office is a full service clinic providing consultations, qEEG evaluations, testing, in-office, on-going psychotherapy, Neurofeedback (in office and/or our remote Home Training Program) and Biofeedback services to individuals, children, adults, couples and families. Our Livonia and Traverse City offices provide qEEG brain mapping evaluation services for other professionals and folks who have an interest for many reasons including use of our supervised Home Program using Smartbrain technology EEG Neurofeedback.
