ABOUT US

Richard R. Williams, Ph.D. has been recognized as a pioneer in the field of Biofeedback and Neurofeedback. In 1975 he established the first University-based clinical and research center in the Midwest for the promotion of self-regulation studies at Western Michigan University. Additional credits include:

  • Founding President of the Biofeedback Society of Michigan
  • Conceiving and Founding the Specialty Program in Holistic Health at Western Michigan University
  • Founding and Directing the Cancer Counseling Program at Borgess Medical Center
  • Founding and Directing the Institute for Holistic Medicine at Borgess Medical Center
  • Founding his own clinic, Health Psychology and co-founding A.D.D. Institute in Kalamazoo.
  • He continues to practice at this clinic along with his wife and clinical partner, Patricia R. Williams.

Patricia Williams, LMSW-D is a Licensed Master of Clinical Social Work, a Board Certified Diplomat by the American Board of Examiners, member of the National Association of Social Workers and is nationally certified in EEG Neurofeedback applications. Ms. Williams is also trained and experienced in both individual and family therapy which she combines with her bio and neurofeedback skills at Health Psychology and The A.D.D. Institute. Along with her clinical partner, Richard, she is helping to implement the use of NASA-developed technology for the training of persons diagnosed with an array of attention difficulties. Her interests include promoting the use of this technology, called S.M.A.R.T BrainGames™, throughout the public school system.

Together and individually they have presented numerous local and national presentations over the years. They provide professional training courses to other professionals. They have enjoyed very positive press over the years and have co-authored the article "Post Polio Syndrome, A Single Case Review". Feature Article.
