Home Training

The idea of home training in the health care field is not really a new concept when one considers what this really means. It means you are carrying out the directives of your health care provider in the comfort of your own home or at the very least, not always in your provider's office. For example, you may have done your Physical Therapy exercise's at home, managed dietary changes from your home or worn a heart monitor which is managed by remote technology. Much of the world today includes vast amounts of remote learning. Other examples include how the internet has long been used for many educational learning purposes from grade school through university studies, professional and personal training programs.

Witnessing these developments in our world we were certainly intrigued when we first heard Dr. Alan Pope of the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) address the idea of home training for attention difficulties on a radio program in about 2001. Over the next few years, we had telephone contact with Dr. Pope, investigated other systems that claimed to provide benefits and spoke with colleagues' around the country.

Now, after much time and careful consideration, we have become your providers in Michigan to have use of this NASA patented technology, exclusively licensed, for our client's home or in office use. Though we are limited to directly reaching out to client's in the state, if you are from outside of Michigan, you can certainly also come to us. We have had clients train very successfully from Canada and surrounding states. We are now among the most experienced providers of the NASA developed S.M.A.R.T (Self Mastery And Regulation Training) BrainGames™ technology.

Our role as your clinical supervising provider includes:

  • being responsible for an assessment and evaluation of your condition;
  • determining the appropriateness of home training for you and
  • designing specific home training programs (protocols) into your S.M.A.R.T Box for your individual needs.
We will monitor your progress at scheduled intervals. We remain available verbally or electronically to consult with you, or meet with you to advise when changes might be needed for your home training. Our role also includes routinely providing assessment tools for you to complete and return to us for monitoring ongoing progress in numerous areas. We might also have suggestions concerning needs or resources you have as an individual or family. Our professional licenses, years of clinical practice and experience in Neurofeedback and QEEG enable us to deliver the highest quality of professional clinical service to you and your loved ones.
